Mr. Theodore (Ted) Siegel

Social Studies Teacher, RMHS

 

Hello! My name is Ted Siegel, and I've been a social studies teacher at RMHS for over a decade. I am a passionate believer in the importance of a strong history education and strive to make sure every student leaves my classroom with enhanced critical reading, writing, and thinking skills.

 

I earned my B.A. in both history and sociology from New York University in 2010 and my M.A. in social studies education from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2011. My teaching philosophy places a strong emphasis on communicating the relevance and importance of the discipline of history while also fostering practical academic skills via the social studies. I deeply believe in nurturing students' curiosity inside the classroom.

 

Outside of school, my wife and I are avid hikers, readers, travelers, and movie lovers.
