Welcome to Mrs. Hurm's classroom!

Mrs. Rachael Hurm
4th Grade ELA & Social Studies Teacher
Slocum Skewes School

Welcome!
Hello! My name is Mrs. Hurm, and I’m proud to be a 4th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher here at Slocum Skewes School. This is my sixth year at Slocum Skewes and my 19th year in education overall. I’m looking forward to another exciting and successful school year!

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Education from Montclair State University and recently completed my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am passionate about helping every student succeed and believe that, with the right tools and support, all learners can thrive.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with my family.
