Mrs. Collis Physical Education

Welcome! I am Mrs Collis and I am in my 17th year as a Physical Education teacher and am proud to be part of the Slocum Skewes community. I hold an undergraduate degree in Business and Marketing from the University of Hartford and a Master’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Montclair State University. I am certified in K–12 Health and Physical Education as well as Driver’s Education.

In addition to teaching, I have coached varsity soccer for 12 years and truly enjoy helping students grow both on and off the field. Outside of school, I love working out and cooking, and I’m always exploring new ways to make living a healthy lifestyle both realistic and enjoyable.

I have the privilege of teaching every grade here at Slocum Skewes, and my teaching philosophy centers on helping students understand the importance of lifelong health and wellness. I strive to create a positive, supportive environment where every student can build the skills, confidence, and knowledge to lead active, healthy lives.
