Dr. Laurie Densen

Welcome to the 25-26 school year!  I am the Supervisor of Instruction for the Learning Center and STRIVE programs at Ridgefield Memorial High School.  I have worked in Ridgefield for over 30 years, as a Reading Specialist, Special Education teacher, and Supervisor of Instruction at both Slocum and RMHS.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Susquehanna University, my Master's degree in Reading from Bloomsburg University, and my PhD from Fordham University.  I am a lifelong Yankees fan, and also enjoy reading and spending time with my family and 2 dogs.

The Learning Center and STRIVE programs are well known throughout the State and ensure every student's individual needs are met. Our program has a dedicated staff who is committed to making sure every student feels welcome and gains the skills they need to become independent young adults.
