Lori DeMatteo. ICS 5th grade

Hello, I"m Lori DeMatteo.

     I'm the ICS teacher in Ms. Werner's 5th grade class.  This is my 3rd year at Slocum Skewes School and I've been teaching for 9 years.  Slocum Skewes is a fantastic school with so many wonderful students and terrific staff. I have a BA from Felician University and also attended Rider University earning my teacher certification K-6 and TOSD. 

     My belief is that every child is capable of learning and thriving, especially when given the appropriate environment, support and encouragement. My philosophy centers around individual instruction, inclusive practices and emotional connections.

     I enjoy spending time with friends and family.  I enjoy the outdoors, artwork, reading and podcasts.
