Jazie Vega - Holley

Hello!

I am your child's Biology or Anatomy & Physiology Teacher.  I have been at Ridgefield Memorial High School since 2008, and have a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Montclair State University.  

I hope to inspire students to explore the world around them, learn how science and biology benefit society and to think critically.  

In addition to a degree in biology, I bring to the classroom 16 years of experience as a medical assistant at Valley Hospital when it was located in Ridgewood, NJ.  I worked in various departments such as psychiatry, cardiac cath & infusion, neurology, same day surgery and pre-surgical testing.  I am a certified phlebotomist & EKG technician.  I use my experience to enhance lessons from the textbook, to actual real world examples.  I have had many students to go on to become doctors, nurses, EMTs, and various medical technicians.  

 

When I am not in the classroom as a teacher, I am at home as a wife and a mother to 3.   

 

I am also the layout advisor for the yearbook committee.  I request photographs, quotes and aspirations from the senior class as well as assist in coordinating for yearly portraits.
