Ms. Joanna Tsoullis

PE/Health Teacher, Slocum Skewes School

 

Hello! My name is Ms. Tsoullis, and I am one of the PE/Health teachers at Slocum Skewes. This is my third year teaching grades 3 through 8, and I am ecstatic to continue making a positive impact on students' lifelong physical and health education. 

 

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education and my Master of Arts in Teaching from Montclair State University. I hold a Pre-K-12 Health and Physical Education Teaching Certificate, as well as a Teaching Students with Disabilities Certificate. 

 

My teaching philosophy centers on creating a positive, supportive, safe, and inclusive learning environment that sets all of my students up for success, both in and outside of the classroom, in Health and Physical Education. Since I teach a wide range of grades, I truly enjoy watching students grow and progress throughout their time at Slocum Skewes. 

 

In our school district, I also coach the Slocum Skewes Girls' Volleyball Team and am the assistant coach for the High School Spring Track and Field Team. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
