Ms. Julia Acosta

Hello! My name is Ms. Julia Acosta, and I am excited to teach Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, and AP Chemistry to 11th and 12th graders at Ridgefield Memorial High School. This year marks my 23rd year in education. I hold a B.S. in Biochemistry/Chemistry and an M.S. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Syracuse University, as well as an M.A. in Education from The University of Phoenix. 

I am passionate about making science engaging through creative, hands-on lab activities and connecting chemistry concepts to everyday experiences, such as cooking, cosmetics, and medicine. My goal is to inspire curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and create a supportive classroom environment where every student feels capable of success. 

Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, traveling, and dining out.
