Dan Priest ATC MS PES SES

Hello my name is Dan Priest and I am the certified Athletic Trainer at the the High School. I have been working at the High School since 2012. What is an Athletic Trainer? An Athletic Trainer is a certified and licensed healthcare professional who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of muscle and bone injuries and illnesses. They work as part of a larger healthcare team, often on-site at schools, colleges, and professional sports organizations, and are trained to provide both emergency and long-term care for athletes and others with health conditions. I graduated with my Bachelors in Science from Montclair State University in Athletic Training. I have also earned a Masters Degree from California University of Pennsylvania in Exercise Science and Human Performance with a Focus on Injury Prevention. While at Montclair State University I was also on the Football Team. Go Redhawks!!! My number one goal with treating any athlete for an injury is to make them feel comfortable and to educate them on the nature of their injury and how to prevent it and others in the future. Being able to assist athletes in returning to full play after an injury is the best part of my job. Seeing them back in their element and the joy it brings them is the best reward I could ask for.
