Ms. Danielle Baquerizo, Special Education

Hello and Welcome! My name is Ms. Baquerizo (Ms. B), and this is my 2nd year teaching at Slocum Skewes! I am excited to be teaching 3rd grade alongside Ms. Weeks. I have worked as a substitute teacher, preschool teacher assistant, and an in-class support teacher.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Family Science and Human Development, with a concentration in school settings and a minor in Child Advocacy and Policy, from Montclair State University. Additionally, I hold my Master's degree in Special Education from Montclair State University. I hold my CEAS certification in preschool- grade 3, as well as in Students with Disabilities.

As a special education teacher, I believe every child has unique strengths and the ability to grow when given the right support. My passion for learning drives me to create an inclusive, engaging classroom where the students feel valued, confident, and capable of success. I strive to build strong foundations for lifelong learning while nurturing curiosity, resilience, and self-belief in each of my students.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, taking walks with my pomsky Enzo, traveling when I get the chance, and reading!

I am looking forward to a great school year!
