Fine Arts - Mrs. Santiago

I am Mrs. Santiago Fine Arts teacher at Ridgefield Memorial High School. I have been an art teacher at RMHS for 23 years, and have loved every minute of it.

 

I currently teach Art 1 through Advanced Art course levels. In my classroom, I introduce everything from drawing and watercolor techniques to advanced printmaking processes. In addition, various art styles and movements in art history will be introduced in the more advanced levels. The art teachers coordinate the annual RMHS Art Show where student art work created throughout the school year is proudly displayed. Check out some pictures from last years art show below! 

 

I earned my undergraduate degree in Fine Arts Education and a master's degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in painting from Montclair State University.  Recently, I have completed additional coursework focusing on topics related to education and art. A few examples of my artwork can be seen here on this site as well. 

 

Outside of my classroom, I love shopping, organizing my home, visiting my parents at the Jersey Shore, and taking walks with my two daughters and husband.
