NJSLA Science Results
At the Board of Education meeting on April 30, 2020, Ms. Seabold presented the results of the new NJSLA science testing in grades 5, 8, and 11. This is the first year for the new test, as the NJDOE implemented this format in the spring of 2019. Please click on the headline for the full presentation.

Data Presentation 2018/2019
At the Board of Education meeting on Thursday, October 24, 2019, the Superintendent of Schools and Curriculum Department gave a presentation on Ridgefield Public School District testing data. The data that was presented included reports of the scores for all students who participated in the NJSLA, DLM, Access for ELLs, the SAT, and our AP testing. The NJSLA data was reported for students in grades 3 - 11 in English/Language Arts and grades 3 - 8 in math. Additionally NJSLA scores were reported for end of course tests in Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry at the high school level. Envisions Math 2.0 Program
At the Board of Education meeting on March 23, 2017, Ms. Janet Seabold, Mr. Mike Zunick and Mrs. Jamie Gryctko presented an overview of the Envisions Math 2.0 program. This program is currently being implemented in grades K - 5, with a pilot form Pearson Education in grades 6 - 8. Mondo Bookshop Implementation
At the Board of Education meeting on Janaury 5, 2017, Ms. Janet Seabold, Mrs. Anna Georgiou, and Mrs. Santina Alleyne presented information on the implementation of the new reading program that was adopted this year in grades K - 5, Mondo Bookshop. This reading program is aligned to the Reader's and Writer's Workshop Model of instruction as introduced through Columbia University. Recipe for Reading Presentation
Recipe for Reading is a research-based, comprehensive, multisensory, phonics-based reading program that is designed for beginning readers in grades K–3 or at-risk and struggling readers in grades 1–6. Recipe for Reading incorporates visual, auditory, and kinesthetic techniques to teach and reinforce phonetic concepts, as researched in the Orton Gillingham method for word study . Ridgefield Schools featured in the IMSE Online Journal
The Ridgefield Public Schools are being featured on the Institute for Multi-sensory Education (IMSE) online journal for our work with word study in grades K - 3. Students are being exposed to the Orton Gillingham model for word study, which provides students with letter and word formation and identification through a multi-sensory approach. NJ Scores! Presentation
On March 23rd, parents attended a joint presentation from the NJ Chamber of Commerce and the NJPTA. This presentation explained to parents the importance of students participating and doing well on the PARCC testing in order to better prepare them for college and career readiness.
