Bergen Boulevard School is home to Ridgefield’s first and second graders.
In addition to reading, writing, math, science and social studies, our students take music, technology, physical education/health, Spanish and art. We infuse technology into our lessons – each classroom is equipped with a Smart Board and laptop carts are frequently used for lessons.
We start our day listening to Words of Wisdom that remind the students to “Make it a great day or not…the choice is yours.” We work on academics as well as social development building a solid foundation.
Our school values differences. Maya Angelou said, “We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color.” Each of us is important and working together we create a better world just like the thread in the beautiful cloth.
