Robotics Picture
Ridgefield Robotics is open to 8th grade students who are self-motivated to learn basic programming in order to control the actions of their robots and work together to accomplish missions.
Students embark on a journey of self-discovery.  They combine the engineering challenge of a robotics competition with real-world problem solving.  Members learn science and technology skills at the same time as well as valuable employment and life skills.  During the season, students will:
    • Build a LEGO MINDSTORMS robot and attachments
Program the robot to move on its own and perform missions
Learn about engineering and physics concepts (sometimes learning them the hard way)
Test different designs and make multiple adjustments
