The Jazz Ensemble
The Jazz Ensemble is an advanced group of students who explore and perform advanced jazz band literature. The group repertoire includes music from all eras of Jazz and Rock history. The ensemble performs during the winter holiday season for the senior citizens and elementary school students of Ridgefield. After the holidays, the groups begins work on more serious jazz ensemble literature to prepare for the Spring competition trip and Solo/Ensemble concert in May. This group is by audition or director permission only. This ensemble performs at various local and regional jazz band competitions. Jazz Ensemble is a year-long activity beginning in November.
