    The RMHS Student Council seeks to provide a valuable leadership partnership between our students and our school and to create the opportunity to become effective leaders, thus encouraging and influencing a positive school climate.

     

    Purpose, Beliefs and Vision of RMHS Student Council:

    • To promote and provide leadership development opportunities.

    • To prepare and empower student leaders to serve their school and community.

    • Empowered students are vehicles for positive change in their school and community.

    • Student leaders have the responsibility to be positive role models.

    • Student council plays a vital role in preserving knowledge of and practice in the democratic process.

    • Leadership training programs are essential to allow developing leaders to achieve their full potential.

    • Involvement in state and national programs enhance the school's leadership development program.

    • Student council programs are stronger when all students are encouraged to participate.

    lease wear gold and donate $5 to help research for pediatric cancer at all Back To School Nights, RMHS 9/17, Slocum, 9/18, Bergen Boulevard 9/24, Shaler Academy 9/25 and at RMHS for a Day of Gold, Friday September 27th.

     

    Start with HELLO week:

    September 23-27 “Hello” week themes:

     

    Monday 9/23 the intro kickoff date. 🎈🎊 A table will be set up at lunches with photo-booth type props and literature about the initiative, saying “hello” 📣 and including everyone. 
     
    Tuesday 9/24 wear 💚green 💚the Sandy Hook promise color. 💚
     
    Wednesday 9/25 be a superhero 💥for others. Dress as a superhero. 
     
    Thursday 9/26 be a life saver ⛑🆘for others. Dress as a lifeguard. 
     
    Friday 9/27/do random acts of kindness. 🙏☮️
     
    ALSO on Friday 9/27 we are wearing GOLD ✨✨✨for the “Josephine Garden 💐Day of Gold✨” fundraiser for pediatric cancer research (Josephine Rispoli of Ridgefield)

    Red Ribbon week is dedicated to providing anti-violence and anti-drug awareness. 

    Monday, Drugs neer sleep (wear pijamas)

    Tuesday, Be super on your own (wear action figures attire)

    Wednesday Peace out, drugs (tie dye day-go)

    Thursday Lei off drugs (Hawaii attire or leis)

    Friday, Team up against drugs (sports jersey/Royals attire)
