Hello and welcome to Slocum's Social Work Page. My name is Rachel Williams and I am the School Social Worker for Slocum Skewes School. Over the years, my work with students has involved a variety of interventions. They range from teaching stress-management to providing conflict resolution and self-control techniques. Counseling sessions and social skills classes are also offered to students in need of social and emotional support.
It is my goal to link students and their families with community services essential to promote student success; empowering them to become productive members in society. I also work closely with staff to address the academic, social and emotional needs of each student. Together, we aim to create a positive mental health climate within the school setting. Additional services that are offered in our program are as followed:
Individual Counseling Crisis Intervention
Group Counseling Case-Management
Social Skills Lessons Consultation
