• Dear Parents/ Guardians:

    It is with great pleasure that I formally introduce myself to you as your child’s preschool teacher!  My name is Ms. Matarazzo, I hope everyone is enjoying their last few days of summer. I attached a letter from Dr. DePass regarding pick up times for Chromebooks and materials. I created a bag with supplies that each student will need during our live instruction. If it is not delivered, it will be at school when you pickup the Chromebooks.

     Here is a Video Link to help set up Chromebooks: https://youtu.be/la39i1xypI4

     Link to Google Classroom (Google Classroom will only be use to send out information to the parents and to access live instruction)

    Please remember that you are a very important part of your child's school journey, if you have any specific needs or questions regarding your child, I encourage you to contact me at IMatarazzo@RidgefieldSchools.com. I will be happy to serve as a resource and offer helpful suggestions if your child is struggling in any specific area.  Looking forward to meeting all of you and my students.

    Ms. M.

  • Ms. Ida-Marie Matarazzo
       My name is Ms. Ida-Marie Matarazzo and I am excited to be your child's teacher this year.  As a Learning Center teacher here in Ridgefield I am currently working with PSD students. In this capacity, I work with students that range from ages 3 to 5 years old.  I feel strongly about teaching my students with and instilling the following core values;
    * Fairness
    * Respect
    * Caring
    * Kindness
    * Honesty
    * Responsibility
       I find these basic, core values to be paramount characteristics in myself and my students.  As an educator for many years, these core values have been the focus of many state mandated social/emotional growth standards for students.  I try to encourage each student to be independent, work on academic skills, build on their social/emotional skills, and work to the best of their ability each day.  Another belief of mine is that it is vital for school and home to work together to ensure the best education for my students.  If I make a child smile each day, I consider my day a success.
