Hello 7th graders and welcome to my homepage. This year in our English class we will explore novels, short stories, read beautifully crafted poems as well as learn about interesting people through biographies and autobiographies. Additionally, in keeping with the new state curriculum standards, we will learn about a wide variety of subjects as we read informational articles. We are a blended classroom and that means that we will be doing the majority of our work using technology. Finally, you will be required to read nightly from your independent reading book or from online articles such as those found in Newsela. It is my goal to make this year a productive and successful one and to share with you my enthusiasm and love for reading.
