Board Of Education Goals

To complete all required New Jersey School Boards Association training's.

To build, develop, and implement a coordinated committee structure that reports out at the next scheduled Board meeting.

To honor students and staff for notable accomplishments whenever possible.
District Goals

To complete a full audit of the district’s Policy Manual inclusive of all bylaws, policies, and regulations.

To examine the feasibility of creating a Five-Year Strategic Plan with input from all stakeholders.

To create an environment where everyone has an equal opportunity for growth, development and advancement.
Board Goals 2019-2020
Board Operations & Performance

Conduct a review of the Board’s current policies and regulations to ensure they most closely reflect the District’s operations, make any recommended adjustments, and update the District’s website accordingly.
Long Range Facilities Planning

Conduct a comprehensive study to be able to make long range planning decisions regarding facilities, programming, and the annual budget process.
District Goals 2019-2020
Support the instructional capacity of teachers to engage English Language Learners more effectively in the content area classroom:

Provide professional learning at District professional learning days.

Reinforce best practices through administrative observations and faculty meetings.

Measure effectiveness through a staff survey on presented professional learning.
Build capacity of teachers to align instruction and assessment with the Common NJSLS through quarterly benchmark assessments and data review:

Ensure alignment of curriculum to New Jersey's content standards.

Analysis of 2018-2019 quarterly benchmarks revealed the continued need for standards-aligned quarterly benchmark testing, which will continue.

Aggregated data of teacher evaluations demonstrated a need for the use of data to better inform classroom instruction.

Provide professional learning at District professional learning days, coupled with continued analysis of student achievement data to inform curriculuar and instructional decisions.
Continue the work of collectively aligning stakeholder beliefs and values as a school district:

District data demonstrated the need for a continued focus regarding respect and communication among staff, as well as students.

Consultation will continue as needed by Envisions and Legal One.

Administrators and teachers will drive continued professional discussions about culture.

Administer a perception survey for staff and students regarding culture in the District.
