"Students learn best when they feel welcomed, comfortable, and safe."
"Music is the heart of life." - Franz Liszt
My name is Ms. Noelle Dadon, and this is my 2nd year teaching music at Bergen Blvd and Slocum Skewes. This is also my 2nd year teaching overall! I graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music and a Master's Degree in Teaching with Music & Special Education certifications. It is my fundamental belief that music is a gift to our children's education, their freedom of expression, and to their world overall. When I myself was a shy first grader finding my way in elementary school, I needed a creative way to express myself. That creative way was creating and listening to music. My music teachers brought out my inner character and taught the importance of self expression through musical activities, and that is my same goal as a current teacher. My mission is to help every student find their inner character, voice, and identity through music education.
Throughout the school year students will learn about the elements of music through song, dance, and more types of musical activities. Students will learn about beat, rhythms, tempo, different styles of music, and more. Music classes will be focused on active participation. Second grade students will eventually prepare for a show in June 2024. More details will follow from myself and the other music teacher, Ms. Dugenio.
Besides teaching music, I am an enthusiastic singer and love to perform both as a soloist and in choirs. I also teach private voice and piano lessons to students of all ages. In my free time I love traveling, photography, going on hikes, spending time with my amazing family and friends, and playing with dogs of any kind.
I am always happy to answer any questions. I'm looking forward to a wonderful school year!!!
