Degrees and Certifications:
B.A Family and Child Studies, Concentration in School Settings K-6 from Montclair State University
My name is Toni-Ann Veniero and I will be your child's second grade teacher this year! I graduated from Montclair State University in 2012 with a degree in Family and Child Studies and a concentration in Family Settings. I have been teaching on the elementary level for 9 years and have taught various grade levels. During my last semester of college, I student taught second grade in Clfton, New Jersey and I instantly fell in love with the grade. During this year, you will see your child become a more experienced reader and writer, understand more complex math problems and ideas, and expand their critical thinking skills. I am so happy and proud to be your child's teacher this year and I promise to make it a safe, fun, and educational year for them.
During my free time, I enjoy being outside, traveling to new places, trying new cuisines, and spending time with my family and friends. I love being a teacher and I look forward to getting to know your child throughout this school year!
I believe my number one role as an educator is to make my students feel loved and successful. My hope is that each day, my students come to school excited to be in my class and eager to learn. I will build positive relationships with each child and give them the confidence to help them reach their fullest potential.
It is my belief that children are unique individuals who need school to grow and develop emotionally, intellectually, and socially. I feel creating a safe and welcoming environment in the classroom is key to making the students feel comfortable and eager to learn.
Every student has their own method of learning which is why I believe it is so important to incorporate many different learning styles in the delivery of a lesson. Each student is equally important and deserves the chance to succeed inside and outside of the classroom.
"Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think."
