Mrs. Sarah J. Pahlck
This will be my fourth year of teaching and my second year here in Ridgefield. Previously, I co-taught first and third grade and, this year, I will be co-teaching second grade with Ms. Shim once again.
I graduated from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelors degree in English and Master's degrees in Elementary Education grades k-6 and Teacher of Students with Disabilities grades k-12. I have had experience working with students of all ages and abilities from pre-k through adulthood.
Over the course of my career, I have dedicated my time to learning more about teaching students with dyslexia or other reading difficulties. I am passionate about being a "life-long learner" and finding new ways to meet the needs of my students daily.
I believe that frequent and open communication between home and school is the key to educational success. It is my goal to create a safe and loving learning environment where students have room to grow. I stress the importance of a "growth mindset" to all of my students, which allows them to be OK with mistakes and have the space to try new things.
