Welcome!

My name is Min Jon Pak, and I am looking forward to another exciting new school year with the ESL community at Bergen Boulevard!

I believe that ESL teachers play a vital role in bridging the language and cultural gap for English language learners. As a former ESL student myself during my primary grades, I understand the challenges and frustrations ESL students and their families may face from the cultural shock and language barrier. I strive to help students feel comfortable, not be afraid to take up challenges,  make mistakes to learn from them, and grow as strong English language learners. I believe that the teacher must first work to understand the students to be able to teach them. As students from various backgrounds learn in different ways, I aim to understand the students' strengths and weaknesses to provide them with the best learning environment for them to reach their best potential.
