Slocum Skewes Physical Education- 3rd, 6th and 7th Grade
Instructors: Ms. Tsoullis and Mr. Miller
Goals: (1) To have students participate in physical activities that will spark an interest for students as a main component to a healthy and happy lifestyle; (2) to improve students’ physical fitness knowledge and skills; and (3) to enhance the students’ ability to work collaboratively with each other promoting the value of teamwork.

Assessment: Every student will start out with a grade of 100. Four points will be deducted for each rule broken such as not participating in class, not wearing sneakers, poor sportsmanship, and not playing safely.
Quarterly assessments will also be taken.
An assignment will be assigned if a student is not participating.

*3rd grade Health will be combined with PE grade. If a student is unprepared or does not do work four points will be deducted from their Health portion of their grade.
Rules of the Classroom
1. Be to class on time.
2. Do not speak if it is not your turn.
3. No Hats, Jackets are permitted in the classroom.
4.There is no eating, drinking, or gum chewing in class.
5. No inappropriate behavior will be tolerated.
6. We must have notice from the nurse if you are not able to participate in class. The nurse will advise us when you are able to return to physical education class.
7. No cell phones, smart watches, earpods etc unless approved by the teacher

6th Grade Health-Expectations and Rules
Instructor: Mr. Miller
Goal: To help students recognize valid sources and to make healthy and happy decisions for one’s life.

All assignments are to be handed in on the date they are due. If work is late 10 points will be deducted from your assignment each day it is late.

If you are sick/excused absence from school, you will need to turn in your assignment the day you return to school either to me or in my mailbox in the main office.

If you are absent from class for any reason, it is your responsibility to pick up any notes/handouts/assignments you may have missed or get the information from a classmate.

Come to class on time and prepared. You will need to bring something to write with, a notebook, a computer and a folder.

2/4 th’s of students' grades each quarter will be based on your preparedness and classwork during class. (Each time an infraction occurs, 4 points will be deducted from that section resulting in a one point deduction for the students' final grade)

2/4 th’s of students grade each quarter will based off of two projects. (Quarterly assessment)
