Miss Veronica Wilenta
Hello! My name is Ms. Veronica Wilenta and this is my fourth year teaching here at Bergen Blvd in the Ridgefield School District. Prior to Ridgefield, I taught 3 years in a Self-Contained, Autistic Support Classroom in Toms River, NJ. In May of 2013, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA. I continued my studies there and received my Masters in Special Education in May of 2014. I have also obtained my Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification through FIT in October 2020.
I believe that the goal of education is to help shape an individual’s life and future by laying the groundwork. I believe each child, as an individual, has the potential to rise and succeed in their education. I will be attentive to my students’ needs and demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to enhance their education using a Universal Design of Learning through hands-on learning, multi-sensory activities, and interactive lessons. Each student has their own learning styles and I will be flexible in providing for their various learning styles. As far as values in education, I strongly feel respect and acceptance are key components students and teachers need as well as patience. As a teacher I will form bonds of trust with my students and let experiences help shape one’s education experience. Learning is a lifelong process and with each new experience more knowledge is gained.
