A Bergen County mom of three was diagnosed with cancer in February. A reaction to the chemo drugs left her in a coma. She is currently receiving physical and occupational therapy and has seen slight improvements.
The Learning Center teachers invited their students to help her family out during this difficult time. They prepared a salad (using vegetables grown in their school garden), made a gluten free chicken pot pie for dinner, and gluten free chocolate chip cookies for dessert. We will keep the family in our thoughts.
Ms. Capotorto's and Dr. Rupprecht's classes worked together to make the family another gluten free meal of lasagna, baguettes, salad, and brownies.
