    Transitioning from high school to post-secondary living is difficult for all students. Students with disabilities struggle with the unknown of what is available to them, who can help them and how they can advocate for themselves.
     
    The primary purpose of developing a support group is for the students to acquire knowledge and understanding of various disabilities including their own, learn about the services available to them during and after high school and develop a network of support services to help aid in the transition to post-secondary living.
     
    The group meets once a week and is facilitated by Ms. Wietecha and Ryan Roy, a former student and an autism advocate. Visit the GAAP website to view the latest club activity, special education resources and community outreach.
