Eileen Byman
Mrs. Byman is in her 30th year of teaching, and her 18th year teaching in the Ridgefield School District. She has worked at Bergen Boulevard and Shaler Academy, and she has provided Technology Staff Development across all the Ridgefield schools. Before coming to Ridgefield in 2006, Mrs. Byman spent 6 years working as a Technology Trainer in schools all across the tri-state area. From 1994-2000, she worked as a science and math teacher in the Harrington Park School District in Harrington Park, New Jersey. Mrs. Byman earned her B.S. from Cornell University in 1993. She earned her M.A. in Elementary Education from Columbia University Teacher's College in 1994. Mrs. Byman lives in New York State with her husband and three children. She enjoys running and listening to audiobooks.
My Philosophy
I believe that integrating technology with classroom content improves student achievement. Thoughtfully planned lessons engage students and lead to the development of 21st-century skills such as creative problem-solving, complex thinking, and collaboration.
