The Social Studies program is based upon a philosophy that fosters an understanding, appreciation and commitment to the democratic processes of life and the government of the United States. The curriculum is dedicated to encourage the exploration and the analysis of an ever-developing array of the skills necessary to live a pragmatic and fulfilling life. These life skills are nurtured and enriched as the students progress through the curriculum that builds cooperation, civic responsibility, community awareness, attentive listening and the development of an appreciation of cultural heritage through aesthetic awareness.
