Mr. Sansanelli

I am currently teaching Algebra 1, Geometry, Geometry Honors, and Algebra 2 Honors.  I have been teaching math at Ridgefield Memorial High School since 2004. As a teacher, I am honored to be able to work with the children of Ridgefield on a daily basis and continue to help students become career ready!

In order to be an outstanding teaching, one must be patient, earn and give respect, provide an inviting, positive and trusting environment, engage students, invoke curiosity, lead students to learn and use new concepts through discovery, be a role model, good communicator, and influence students to be an original thinker and being the best that they can be in the world.  This is what I try to implement in our classroom. I too, consider myself a student, in the way that there are always new and inovative teaching techniques that I try to keep up with and implement.

Education supports life experiences and technology is an important tool to help students become modern citizens in our technology filled world.  I believe that the use of technology in the mathematics classroom aids the students to visualize concepts through interactives, comfortably navigate mathematics through different platforms, and present new material in a visual, tactile, and auditory manor.  There is an incredible wealth of information on the internet and teaching the students of today how to use it as a beneficial tool is an important skill to develop.
