Mr. Fabiano

Philosophy:

The primary objective of a social studies teacher is to help guide his students toward becoming thoughtful, active citizens who can function productively in a multicultural, rapidly changing and increasingly interdependent world.

It is my aim to provide a variety of affective and cognitive experiences that contribute to the recognition of the dignity of each human being. Through the study of world history and psychology, students will acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes that can help them be successful in their future lives as citizens of the world.

Research shows that students learn through a variety of approaches.  With this in mind, classroom instruction and assessment should be diverse and delivered with thought and understanding of the audience one is teaching.

Students in Mr. Fabiano's class should expect the unexpected, learn to take ownership of their education, ask questions, do things with care, and above all, develop a sense of respect for themselves, their school, and their world.
