Mr. Daniel Tracey
I am currently an In Class Support Teacher here at RMHS. My career as a Special Educator began in 1999 when a need for a self contained class teacher for those with behavior challenges became available. After spending almost 14 years in the Learning Center Program I am now in my seventh year with the ICS department in the high school. I have been employed in the district since 1996 as an assistant to the director of the high school marching band. A few years later I became the Assistant Director of our award winning group. In 2000 I became Director of the High School Talent Show and have continued in that position to the present year. I attended William Paterson University graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi and Pi Lambda Theta Honor Fraternities for Education. My studies also included a semester at the National University of Ireland Galway where I concentrated in History and Science. Currently I am pursuing my Master's Degree in Supervision at Felician College with a perfect 4.0 average. In my time away from school I am a recording and performing musician. I have performed in Ireland and around the United States and some of my music is available on iTunes, Spotify and can be found on Youtube.
My philosophy of education is that the teacher is the conduit between the information and the student. Learning takes place within the mind of the individual and it is the educator's job to present the material in a variety of ways that best suit the learning style of the student.
