Mrs. Suzanne Golden
I have been teaching in the Ridgefield School District for 35 wonderful years! My teaching experience within those years has been extensive and unique. I began my career as a Kindergarten teacher at Bergen Boulevard School.
From there, I served the district as a Supervisor for both general and special education students. I also served in our Learning Center Program as a Supervisor and Interim Director of Special Education.
Soon thereafter, I returned to the classroom to teach fifth grade language arts and social studies, which eventually lead to the creation of the Instructional Literacy Coach position.
For five years, I worked on the sixth grade team teaching ELA as well as working with small groups of students to ensure strong literacy skills as a Response to Intervention Teacher (RTI) and then began teaching back in the third and fourth grade.
This upcoming school year I will be back teaching 6th/7th grade! I am excited to be teaching in the Middle School once again and look forward to learning about world history and geography with my students!
On a personal note, my husband, Ed and I have three children: Brendan, 22, Kate, 20 and Sean, 17.
Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him.
