I believe that an ESL teacher can have a great influence on an ESL student's growth and development towards success in life. An ESL teacher may become the first person to whom students can request advice and support in a new country.

For 22 years, I have seen my students learn and progress, and experienced the fulfillment that comes with being a teacher. As a mentor, I want students to feel that there is a place where their needs and desires are met, and their mutual challenges, hardships, and experiences as ESL learners can be understood and shared.

I would like to make students feel that English is interesting, engaging, and fun to learn. I want to help students realize that learning English is vital for them to perform well when pursuing higher education and in achieving their goals in life.

Most importantly, I aspire to make students believe in themselves and their potential. I want my students to believe that they can be fluent in the English language as long as they pay attention during lessons, complete their work, and make an effort to speak English as much as they can both in and out of school.
