• What is an Occupational Therapist?
    An Occupational Therapist (OT) is a clinician who works with people of all ages that need specialized assistance to lead independent, functional, and satisfying lives due to physical, developmental, social, or emotional challenges.
     
     
    In a school setting, Occupational Therapists work with children who are challenged when engaging in meaningful activities or “occupations” relevant to their everyday lives.

    A child’s occupation often involves playing, learning and going to school. School-based Occupational Therapists work with students who may have challenges or a special need in the following areas that impede his/her ability to function, participate and be successful in the educational setting:
