Fall Forums on Wednesday, November 2, 2016
Dear School Community Members,
Please join the conversation at the Ridgefield Public Schools Fall Forums on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Ridgefield Memorial High School Auditorium. The Fall Forums will take place in two sessions, one at 3:30 PM and one at 7:00 PM on that same day. Each will run for approximately two hours. Parents, guardians, faculty, and staff are welcome to attend either or both sessions.
We will devote the first forty-five minutes of each of the forums engaged in building school and principal profiles that will help us define Slocum Skewes school, identify its needs, and select its next principal. These profiles will inform an inclusive interview process and help to ensure a successful placement. Ridgefield Public Schools is a very attractive prospect for the right professional educator, and we will find that professional educator among the best and the brightest (see attached Principal Search Protocol).
The remainder of both forums will be open to public questions regarding our school system. Examples of discussion topics might include but not be limited to safety and security, program and instruction, and our November second question to improve student services (see attached Q2 Info Packet).
If you plan to attend either session and you have a question on your mind that you would like to offer in advance, you are welcome to send that to Ms. Kelly Hernon at khernon@ridgefieldschools.com.
Sincerely,
Frank Romano, III, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
