Ridgefield Memorial High School is a culturally diverse school, which honors and reflects the traditional values of the surrounding community. Along with providing a solid academic curriculum, we foster the values of dedication, respect, and commitment. Since we are a relatively small high school, every student can experience sustained support from the entire staff. The current student to teacher ratio averages approximately 23 to 1, which encourages personalized attention and individual instruction. The US Department Of Education has described our ratio as optimal for high school instruction.
Our school’s mantra is that students come first and their instructional needs are paramount. The faculty at RMHS is dedicated, enthusiastic, and creative, and they intellectually challenge our students while also attending to their developmental needs.
Staff and students alike are excited about the types of educational opportunities we provide. In particular, we pride ourselves on offering students motivating co-curricular activities, such as Academic Decathlon, Mathematics League, Peer And Leadership Support (PALS), Heroes and Cool Kids, and the Creative Arts, and the Robotics Club.
We continue to build strong links between home, school and community in order to promote success and the desire for lifelong learning. Our success is bolstered by a community who remains willing and able to support our educational initiatives.
